The answer is always generic. 

Because it's highly personal.

I tried looking up for what a "barefoot" means in a metaphorical context:

This is what Google can answer and it's not entirely bad. It's actually good and pretty interesting. I'm not really coming from a Zen perspective, but I can say that I am not an outsider either, when it comes to the Zen philosophy.

And going to the "geomatic" part is very personal coming from a Land Surveyor background.

But out of curiosity, let's check what Google can say about "geomatic" just in case:

Yup. That sums it all. You combine the two and it doesn't sound bad at all, nor it looks ugly at all. I don't want to fuel debate nor add semantic discussions here. I just want to share the happenings (the ups and downs, the lefts and rights) in this exciting field of Geomatics.
